About us
The Social Group is here to ensure that family residency at Via Christi in Wichita, KS, is not just an educational experience, but lots of fun for residents and their families, too. This past year we coordinated summer pool parties, Halloween party, Christmas party, progressive dinner, farewell dinner, and much more. Some events are planned for the entire family while others are for adults only. Each year our schedule varies slightly, as we try to meet the interests of that year’s particular group of students.
In addition to the activities mentioned above, we have informal get-togethers (movie nights, bowling, mini golf, service projects, etc.) as well as organized playgroup which is open to all residents and spouses whether you have children or not. Our playgroup meets about twice a month (sometimes more). This past year we took a number of field trips including visits to the fire station, playing at Exploration Place, going to the zoo, visiting local parks, swimming together and meeting at each other’s homes.
The Social Group meets once every other month to plan residency activities. When you match at Via Christi, we would love for you to be a part of the group! We welcome your input and assistance in making these events a success. The Social Group provides a great opportunity to get to know each other better. If you have questions, feel free to email us.
